Ham & Pineapple Easter Kebabs
Ingredients:
- Fully cooked & smoked ham (size varies – plan 6-8 oz per person)
- 2 cans pineapple chunks in juice
- 1 jar maraschino cherries
- ½ cup brown sugar
Note: it’s important to buy and use an already-cooked ham for this.
You’ll also need:
- Kebab roasting skewers
- Small bowl
- Whisk
- Basting brush
Let’s get going!
- First, fire up your grill, or the outside cooktop on your new or used RV.
- If you’re using wooden kebab skewers, soak them in water for at least one hour prior. If you’re using metal skewers, no soaking is needed.
- Place the brown sugar in a bowl. Pour the juice from the can of pineapple in with the brown sugar, mixing until you have a thick slurry. Discard the rest of the juice.
- Cut the ham into bite size chunks.
- Alternating pieces of ham with pineapple chunks and cherries, thread the ingredients onto the skewers.
- Lightly brush the brown sugar and pineapple juice mixture onto your kebabs.
- Grill until the pineapple chunks are seared and the ham is heated through. Enjoy!
