If you want to go somewhere iconic and unforgettable, why not head to our nation’s capitol and enjoy the 2023 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C.! It’s a perfect Spring Break camping destination!
About the Festival
It’s always hard to guess with 100% accuracy the exact dates the blooms will be at their best, but the peak weeks of Washington D.C.’s cherry blossoms typically fall from late March through mid April.
The 2023 National Cherry Blossom Festival will have events running from March 20 through April 16. You can check out signature events the festival is known for here and start marking your calendar! Some of the confirmed events are the Opening Ceremony, Blossom Kite Festival, and Petalpalooza. Additionally, many neighborhoods participate in Petal Porches, with porches and yards decorated by residents in frothy pink decorations and blooms. Enjoy a beautiful afternoon neighborhood crawl!
Of course, Washington D.C. provides loads of phenomenal family-friendly activities, monuments, and museums to explore. Much of what the city has to offer is within quick walking distance of other attractions. Plan to leave your new or used RV in the morning, drive into the city, find an all-day parking lot, and explore for the rest of the day on foot!
