The License Plate Challenge
Whether you’re traveling in a motorhome or towable, this game is a fun one to play to pass the time on the road. Start the game with the youngest person first (the game gets hard after the first go). Have the first person find a license plate from a state that starts with the letter A (Arkansas, Alabama, etc.). When that license plate is found, the next person has to find the next license plate with a state that starts with the letter the last state ends with (so if you found Alabama, the next state should start with “A” because Alabama ends with “A”). This game continues and can go on for quite a while depending on where you’re at in the country.
Charades
This game is perfect for kids of all ages. Write different things down on pieces of paper, drop them in a hat, then have each person pull out a piece of paper and act out what is on the paper in 30 seconds while everyone else guesses. One of the best things about this game is that it can be enjoyed everywhere and only requires paper and pen.
Uno
Listen, every good childhood must include the game of Uno. This family favorite usually comes in waves, with the kids begging to play for weeks until forgetting it before they pick it up again a few months later. Introduce it to your family on your next trip and watch the memories build.
