Wanting to enjoy autumn with the perfect fall camping trip in your new or used RV? We’re right there with you! Take a look at our RV tips for meals and more on your fall camping trip!
Start the Day Right
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day – so don’t skimp! Start it with something hot and hearty – like a ham and egg quiche or a warm bowl of oatmeal topped with fruit. And don’t forget the cup of coffee. Fall mornings are nice and crisp, and we recommend using your RV’s outdoor kitchen to fry up the eggs and bacon and get the coffee going while the morning fog lifts.
Think “Easy” for Lunch
I always keep lunchtime simple during camping trips! In the fall, canned soups with hot cheese sandwiches are a go-to for our family. Then, grab a granola bar or some trail mix on your way out the door for the afternoon.
Comfort Foods at Dinner Time
I use my slow cooker almost every day in the fall and winter! It’s so easy to throw a one-pot wonder together, kick it on low as we’re clearing the breakfast dishes, and walk away for the entire day. By the time we get back from our hiking and biking, the RV smells absolutely glorious, and dinner is ready to serve. Stews, chilis, and roasts with veggies make amazing dinner time specials while camping – plus, it cuts down on dishes to wash!
Don’t Forget the S’Mores!
What’s a camping trip without s’mores? This iconic campfire food is perfect for chilly nights – and don’t forget to bring along your favorite mulled cider recipe to sip on around the campfire!
